THE WORLD IS ROUND is based on a widely-respected, little-known children’s book by Gertrude Stein. Through a textured-weave of darkly playful music, acrobatic action and the sing-song rhymes of Stein’s text, THE WORLD IS ROUND tells the story of a young girl’s self-discovery and ultimate fulfillment with joy, humor and an appealing musical score.

Ripe Time is currently in residence at The JCC in Manhattan in 2012 developing THE WORLD IS ROUND. We will present a staged workshop at the JCC in December 2012, and will mount a full production in New York City in 2013, which will tour in 2013 and 2014. TWIR was previously workshoped at Voice & Vision’s ENVISION retreat at Bard College in June 2011.
