THE WORLD IS ROUND is an adaptation of a children’s book written by American author Gertrude Stein. The adaptation is based on a story that steps inside the dreams, desires, and drive of Rose, a young girl on a quest to climb a mountain. Through a textured weave of darkly playful music and acrobatic action, Rose’s journey gives a window into the joys and challenges of growing up as a woman in the world.
A staged workshop was produced at the JCC in Manhattan during December of 2012.
It will premiere in the Fall of 2013 in NYC.
